LIP NEUTRALIZATION
Cosmetic Tattoo
Lip neutralization is an advanced cosmetic tattoo treatment for clients with naturally cool or dark-toned lips. The treatment works to neutralize the dark pigmentation, resulting in even-toned lips, once healed. Lip neutralization is a game changer for clients who may struggle with hyperpigmentation.
Melanin-rich skin is very tricky to work on and can often require 3 or more sessions to achieve the desired result. Once their lips are neutralized, many clients follow up with their desired lip blush shade!
Lip Neutralization is a minimum 2-session treatment 5-6 weeks apart.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are a new client and have had previous Lip tattoo elsewhere, you must have a consultation before booking your treatment.
$499 first session $349 additional sessions
Post-Treatment & Safety Information – Lip Neutralisation
Swelling: Your lips may swell after treatment. This can last up to 2 days, but for most clients it only lasts a few hours.
Cold Sores (Herpes Simplex Virus): Lip Neutralisation can trigger cold sores. If you have ever had a cold sore, you must get antiviral medication prescribed by your doctor. Start treatment 1–2 days before your appointment and continue for at least 3 days after. If you’re unsure, check with your doctor.
Impact of Cold Sores: If cold sores appear after your treatment, healing may be slower, and pigment loss or patchy results can occur. You may require an additional session to correct this. Remember, cold sores can happen to anyone at any time post-treatment. This is not a sign of incorrect treatment or safety issues—it’s a natural skin reaction.
Lip Filler Considerations: If you’re planning lip filler, it should be done at least 2 weeks before or after your Lip Neutralisation appointment. Post-tattoo fillers can stretch your lips, potentially making your tattoo look uneven. For best results, it’s recommended to get fillers before your tattoo.
Contraindications – Lip Neutralisation is not suitable if you are:
Pregnant or breastfeeding
Undergoing cancer treatments
Have uncontrolled diabetes
On blood thinners (you must stop at least 3 days prior to treatment)
Have used Accutane in the last 6 months
